Welcome to Poetry Baptist Church!
Our Sunday morning worship service is at 10:15 followed by Sunday School for all ages at 11 am.
Our worship music team The Pikett Family leads us in worship and in song each Sunday morning.
Wednesday evening begins at 7 PM with a snack supper followed by activities and Bible Study for all ages.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Paul Jacobs has been at Poetry Baptist Church since May of 2023. Pastor Paul brings over 20 years of pastoral experience to PBC. He has previously served as a pastor, a missionary (Philippines), a college professor (Criswell College) and a seminary professor (Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary). A graduate of Ouachita Baptist University (BA), he earned MA degrees at both Criswell College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Paul earned his PhD from the University of North Texas in Education and Counseling.
Pastor Paul also serves as a chaplain for hospice. Pastor Paul has been married to Mary Jane for 30 years. They have a 22 year old daughter (BreAnna).
